How do I clean crystals?
Working with crystals can cause
them to get sticky. One of the
simplest ways to clean quartz crystal
is with lukewarm water (room
temperature) and a mild soap. Stay
away from strong chemicals and quick changes of temperature. If a crystal is cold when
you wash it, stay with cooler lukewarm water. If the crystal is warm from working with it, use warm
lukewarm water.
Stay away from hot water or cold water.
How do I clear crystals?
Crystals hold and store information, thoughts and feelings. To clear crystals of the programs you
place in them requires focused intent, desire, imagination and a bit of technique:
Breath of Clarity: One hand holds the top and base of the crystal with index finger and thumb.
The other hand holds opposing sides (there are three pairs of sides with quartz crystal) with index
finger and thumb. Fix an image of clarity whatever that means for you, in your mind. Flowing water,
white light, blue light, clear light... you’re giving your subconscious mind the image it understands to
represent clarity. Inhale deeply as you hold that image, then squeeze the sides of the crystal as you
sharply exhale that image into the crystal. Rotating to the next pair of sides, repeat the breath until
all three pairs of sides have had the Breath of Clarity.
Note: One clears a crystal when it is “sticky” on the inside. A crystal is cleaned when it is “sticky”
on the outside.
If a crystal has broken, sometimes
it can be glued together without
interrupting the energy flow. Ask
your crystal if it wants to be
repaired before you just jump in
and fix things. Sometimes it has
its own reasons for fracturing.
Crystals need to be periodically
cleared from the work of
transmuting and transforming
energy. Being quite ageless
compared to humans, some of the
need for that clearing may come
from another time/ space.
Some crystals dissolve in water or
can be damaged by prolonged
submersion. Halite and Selenite
are some of those kinds of
crystals.
Some crystals should not
be placed in water.
